What will I learn in this class?
Students enjoy a workout of karate with a twist. This class seamlessly blends music with the martial art's core concepts and kata.

Learn basic karate moves, such as punches, kicks, defensive tactics (uke) and stances, while moving in time to the energizing sounds. This class is perfect for karate beginners and all fitness levels.

What are the benefits of this class?
Karate, through its conditioning movements, enhances core strength, balance and flexibility while promoting proper posture that boosts metabolism and burns calories.

Who will teach this class?
Born in 1988, Emiri Iwamoto has practiced karate since she was 8 years old and spent a decade on Japan's national team. She won three World Karate Federation Karate 1-Premier League titles and finished top at the 2017 Asian Championships.

Cancellations

  • To cancel a booking, Members must contact the Recreation Desk at least 24 hours before the class.
  • Members who fail to cancel at least 24 hours before their class will be charged ¥1,320.
  • No-shows will be charged ¥1,320.

Club Closure

The Azabudai Club will close at 6pm on December 31 and remain closed on January 1.

Meanwhile, the Nihonbashi Club will also wrap up 2024 on December 31 at 6pm and reopen on January 6.
